Ruth Delaney

September 9, 1926 ~ July 29, 2014

Ruth Delaney age 87 a resident of Mansfield Place and a former resident of Galloway passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 29, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born September 9, 1926 in Randolph County, a daughter of Dayton and Verna (Rexroad) White. She was united in marriage to Walter Delaney who preceded her in death on November 18, 2000. Survivors include three daughters, Annette McDaniel of St. Cloud, FL; Dottie Amtey of Cary, NC and Gloria Conklin of Clarksville, PA 13 Grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren One sister, Dorothy Simpson of Parsons Good friend and sister-in-law, Totty Delaney She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Davis; one son, Walter Delaney, Jr. and one granddaughter, Usha Amtey. She was a member of the Galloway Senior Citizens and Galloway Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. the funeral hour with Pastor Jessie Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Flemington I.O.O.F Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1002 S. Crim Avenue Belington, WV 26250. Thursday July 31, 2014, 4 pm at Wright Funeral Home Click for Map and Directions

We did not really know Ruth that well, but my mother and father both were in Mansfield Place, and they both died there, I lost my Dad in 03, then my mother Dec.2013, i saw Ruth a lot in the dining room, when they were feeding her, as i was helping with my Momma, i know u will miss her, but I pray God gives u peace in the days, weeks, and months ahead, and know that God has her now, and she is ok, thats the thing that Ihang onto with the passing of my Momma, God Bless all of u, sending our prayers to your family.
