Samuel Haddix
March 12, 1952 ~ May 18, 2014
Samuel Earl Haddix (“Sam”), 62, of Philippi went to be with Jesus on May 18, 2014. Sam was born on March 12, 1952 in Philippi, WV to the late John R. Haddix and Rosa Lee (Conderi) Haddix. Sam always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He was a blessing to his family and everyone who met him. For the last several years, following the passing of his mother, Sammy was under the loving care of some precious angels through Rescare Inc.
Surviving are his siblings, John R. (Cindee) Haddix of Sargent, NE, Patricia Ann (Keith) Duverney of Houston, TX, Linda Haddix of Owensboro, KY, Thomas Lewis (Teena) Haddix of Philippi, James Lee Haddix of Philippi, several nieces and nephews and his dog, Joe. Sam was a member of Silent Grove Church of Philippi.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4-8 pm and on Friday, May 23 from 12-2 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

So very sorry for the passing of Sammy, Sammy was an inspiration to everyone at the church, he made everyone smile when he would get to come, and it was a blessing to get to se him come thru those church doors, we loved him very much. I pray God will give this family peace and comfort in the days, months, and years ahead, but we all know Sammy is rejoicing and we r grieving, so we know Sammy is up there where he has wanted to be with his Mom and Dad, God bless each and everyone of u.
Sammy was such a special person, I am glad I had the chance to know him. His smile was the best. Praying for Gods comfort for your family members.
