I have such sweet memories of Sarah and all the years that she worked at Philippi Elementary School with my mother, Sylvia. She was always so kind, gentle and patient with everyone. What a wonderful lady!
Please accept sincere condolences from my dad, mother and me.
Please accept my deepest condolences with the loss of your sweet mother. Mrs. Woodford was always so welcoming when we would come to the house to play. She was such a kind person, very involved in the Presbyterian Church in sunday school, bible school and the choir. A dear person.

So very sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. Bill and I always enjoyed our visits with her at tax time. She always seemed the perfect, gentle lady. May God bless you with peace and comfort.
Sorry for your loss. Always loved her. Was the nurse when I went to Philippi Elementary School and a volinteer after I started working there. I am still there and missed her after she left.
Just a little funny but good thing about her. I would tell her she was like a bulldog coming after our time sheets if we didn’t get them turned in. I was always forgetting mine. Glad she did come after me.
Remember her living in the brick house beside ofAB ball field. My husband also mowed for her several times. Very good lady. Have often wondered about her. Will surely be missed.
Her friend Teresa from Philippi Elementry.
