Blanche Virginia (Mouser) Knight, age 79, of Brushy Fork Community, Bridgeport, WV passed away on December 3, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Fairmont, WV. She was born May 9, 1941 in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Leonard Mouser Sr. and Agnes (Williams) Mouser. She was united in marriage on January 13, 1979 to the late William (Bill) Eugene Knight Sr. who preceded her in death May 18, 2009.
She will be forever cherished in the lives of her son, Randall Mouser of North Carolina; daughter, Flora (Knight) Cox and husband Bryan Cox of Sutton, WV; daughter, Patricia (Knight) Freeman and husband Chad Freeman of Fairmont, WV; son Eugene Knight of Brushy Fork Community; grandchildren Raven (Mouser) Dabbs, Kristen and Tyler Cox, and Melanie and Nathan Freeman, and great-grandchild, Liam Dabbs.
Blanche worked as a bookkeeper for several car dealerships until September 1979. At that time, she became a full-time house wife and stay at home mom. Blanche loved to make candy, decorate cakes, and genealogy. From 1989-2019 she dedicated most of her time helping with the 4-H youth of Barbour County and was the Assistant Leader of the Mountaineer 4-H Club in Barbour County for several years. Blanche attended Fellowship Bible Church in Bridgeport, WV.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday December 6, from 10am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Rev. Sam Schwenk officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
