Imagine nearly a hundred years of progress. Edna lived it. There are many stories of how brave Edna was, one being doing the driving for her family years ago. When you go from a horse and buggy to a model-T with side curtains and then to a car with windows and a heater, axle deep mud or six inches of snow is nothing to be afraid of. There were many changes beyond the automobile, her father thought a toilet in the house was disgusting, but Edna thought it was a luxury.
Edna always saved every dollar she could-just may be because she lived thru the Great Depression when it was a disgrace to accept what is known today as entitlements.
The change she saw in her lifetime is simply amazing…”Life is a Perception; it is what YOU
think it is”.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 8-11:00 a.m. the service hour with Pastor Joyce Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemtown Cemetery.
