Just heard about Johns death from another mutual friend. Sorry I'm so late with this.
I spent a lot of time with John Allen between the years of 1968 to 1974. Went to High School and WVU with him. I had many wild, crazy and fun adventures with John during those years. I remember he and I riding a puny little 125cc motorcycle from Philippi to Morgantown so he could buy the "Woodstock" album as soon as it was released. We rode lots of miles on motorcycles together.
John was a VERY imaginative and funny guy.
john --- i will miss you --- last time i saw you --- i heard a horn blow outside my door --- lets go see bob dylan ---- he said dublin --- i thought he meant ohio --- he was talking ireland ---- what a free spirit --- i just found out about his passing -- i was stuck in a hospital --- i am sorry john i missed your wake --- i will laugh at the time i first met you at rite aid -- i was going to be his partner --- went to the store no john ---- ask the tech's where the pharmacist was --- he was repairing a hot tub some where --RIP
Many prayers for your family. Enjoyed working with John.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of your Dad, Chris. May your happy memories comfort and sustain you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Hadn't seen John for over forty five years but never forgot him. We had a blast while in school. Always considered John a great friend. Just by chance we reconnected at Audra this summer- so grateful for that. RIP
So very sorry for the loss of John, he was a nice man, and a wonderful pharmacist, he always had a smile on his face at Rite Aid, when he saw u there at the counter, he always went out of his way to speak, and to talk to u about any concerns may have. God bless each and everyone of u, God is Good, he will b with u thru this, he will comfort u if u ask, will b thinking and praying for u in the days, weeks, and months ahead, but I know our Jesus will b by your side all the way, God bless this family.
