L. Sue Austin, age 73, a resident of Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital and a former resident of Union Community passed away Saturday October 12, 2014. She was born August 1, 1941in Philippi a daughter of the late Clarence Bruce and Deloris Loraine (Snider) Jones. Sue was united in marriage to her husband of 51 years Thomas Bruce Austin who survives. Also surviving
One daughter; Nancy Austin and companion Tim Zickefoose of Fairmont

One son; Bruce Austin and wife Laurie of Tacy Community

One sister; Sherry Asher and husband Jim of Mt. Clare, WV

Three grandchildren; Devin Evix, Thomas and Jesse Austin
Two great grandchildren; Chloe and Gabby Phillips

Sue was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed watching birds, singing and sewing.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday October 14, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday Oct 15, from 8 am – 12:30 pm the service hour. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery.
