Leonard Bender, age 89, a resident of Buckhannon, passed away Monday December 25, 2023, at his residence. Leonard was born August 25, 1934, a son of the late Alva and Florence (Ramey) Bender.
Leonard worked for various coal companies before retiring. He was an avid farmer, enjoyed hunting and fishing. Leonard loved his family.
Leonard is survived by his children- Terry Bender and wife Shawn, Ron Bender, George Hinkle and wife Kathy, and Debbie Hinkle; grandchildren-Jaimie DeBarr, Levi Bender and wife Abby, Jonah Bender and companion Rachel Nutter, Kane Bender and companion Korie Kane, Darian and husband Brian Carson, Samantha McIntosh and husband Justin Ours, and Drew Griffith; great-grandchildren, Bael and Kai Bender, Everleigh Bender; Lincoln and Lillian Ours.
In honor of Mr. Bender’s request, no services will be held.
