Lucille N. Ball, 83, of Liberty Township, died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Philippi, West Virginia on April 23, 1929 to parents Ira and Vesta (Hershman) McBee.
Lucille had worked for Elder-Beerman in the wig & hair piece department and was a graduate of the Richard Weston Beauty College. She was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church where she was a soloist for many years. She was formerly a member of Bethany United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School & Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir and was on the prayer chain. She was also a member of Women’s AGLOW and the Liberty Township Garden Club. Lucille was an ardent supporter of conservative Christian values and was a staunch motivator & believer of patience, integrity, sound moral values and compassion for people. She desires to be remembered as a prayer warrior, soul winner and peace maker.
Mrs. Ball is survived by her husband, Hayward G. Ball; son, Kirk (Jackie) Ball; sisters, Edna Mae (Lowell) Mundy & Sandra Sue McBee; grandchildren, Alexandra, Christian, Sabrina & Nikolas Ball; and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard McBee & James McBee.
Family and Friends may gather at Mary’s Chapel Cemetery on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm for a graveside service with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating.
