Mary Elizabeth Haddix, age 95, a resident of Volga, passed away Sunday September 6, 2009 in United Hospital Center. Mrs. Haddix had made her home for the past 12 years with her daughter Janet Stout. Mrs. Haddix was preceded in death by one son; Thomas Haddix, two brothers; Charles and Harry Stafford, one sister; Gladys Mink
Mrs. Haddix was a homemaker and a member of the Queen’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday September 9, from 5-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday September 10, from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Randy Simms officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
