Perry Hathaway

Perry Hathaway, 77, of Canton passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. He was born May 28, 1945 in Arden, West Virginia.
Perry was owner /operator of Hathaway Concrete until he turned it over to his son Bryan in 2008. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren. Perry enjoyed old classic cars, watching NASCAR, being outside, going camping, hiking and working in the church gardens and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded death by his wife, Dorothy; mother, Hattie Genevia Hathaway; brother, Tom Keller; sister, Cathy Keller and sister-in-law, Haley Hathaway.
Perry is survived by his children, Karla Hathaway (Bill McVicker) and Bryan (Michell) Hathaway; grandchildren, Ryanne Yerian, Sydney Hathaway and Jacob Hathaway; great grandchildren, Neala, Tian, and Bryson; niece and nephews, Rod Hathaway, Kenneth Hathaway, Trista Dalton, Byron Weaver and Brandon Weaver and many great nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Rick Hathaway and Delbert (Melinda) Weaver and beloved dog, Bacon.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel, 705 Raff Rd. SW Canton, Ohio 44710 from 5pm to 7pm.
Additional calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm at Mariah’s Chapel 4760 Clemtown Rd. Philippi, WV. 26416 with funeral service to follow at 2pm with Pastor Bruce Jacobsen officiating. Burial will follow in Clemtown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Perry’s name to the Leukemia Foundations to help fight Leukemia.
