Robert Lee Haddix, age 81, a resident of McConnelsville, OH and a former resident of Philippi, passed away Monday June 26, 2023 in Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, OH. Robert was born June 13, 1942 in Century, WV a son of the late William Oscar Haddix and Audra Virginia (Post) Haddix.
Surviving is six children; Deloris Haddix of Canton, OH, Jayne McEwen of Magnolia, OH, Robert L. Haddix Jr. of Brewster, OH, Brenda Jonas of Utah, Michael Haddix of East Sparta, OH, Paul Haddix of Weston, WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Billy Haddix of Parsons, and sister, Arene Haddix of Atlanta, Ga.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents William and Audra Haddix, and eight siblings.
Robert was a very hard worker having retired at the age of 72 from Dodd Corp. as a paver operator. He was a proud Veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Robert loved hunting and playing poker. He will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday June 30, from 11 am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
